The left view is a web-sized copy of my supplied TIFF. The right view is my existing gallery edit. These are two processed versions. Stars are visible in both, despite the TIFF filename containing “starless”.

Behind the image

Exploring colour in Cygnus Loop.

Follow the same stars and clouds across two colour treatments of my Cygnus Loop photograph.

The TIFF was rotated to match the gallery image. Its green-and-blue colours were retained, with no additional brightness stretch.

A small record of learning: exploring how colour and contrast change the feeling of a photograph.
